Try the controller interface

This is the actual OpenHaldex interface — the same one the controller serves over Wi-Fi, loaded straight from the firmware repository. Pick a drive mode and watch the engagement respond, or dig through every setting before you buy.

It’s a simulation. The interface is real, the controller behind it is not. Live values come from a looping drive cycle, and anything that would reach real hardware or the network — firmware updates, Wi-Fi setup, clutch learning and UDS diagnostics — will say it needs a real controller rather than pretend to work. Nothing you change here is saved.

Things worth trying

  1. Switch drive modes

On the Dashboard, tap between Stock, FWD, 50:50, 60:40 and 75:25 and watch the engagement gauge and response trace chase the new target.

  2. Open the Expert tab

The lock map sets engagement against road speed and throttle. Change a cell, switch to Expert on the dashboard, and the simulated coupling follows your own curve.

  3. Set a guard on the Basic tab

Give Disengage Under Speed a value, pick 50:50, and the engagement card tells you the lock is being held at 0 % and which setting is doing it.

  4. Read the Diagnostics tab

Clutch temperatures, terminal voltage, CAN bus health, the Haldex’s own warnings, Frame Editing and frame counts — what you would actually use to diagnose a car.

  5. Browse Settings

Haldex generation, standalone operation, dash-button and drive-mode forcing, Follow ABS, brake and handbrake following, Bluetooth, LED brightness and the rest.

  6. Try the Volvo P1

Pick Volvo S40 / V50 (P1) from the Car list. Settings shows the new Volvo P1 Standalone card: choose the lock source and watch its live line follow the mode you pick. Volvo support is in beta.

How this works

  • LIVE

    Always the current firmware

The interface is fetched from the OpenHaldex-C6 repository each time the page loads, so it is whatever shipped in the latest release — never a screenshot or a stale copy.

  • REAL

The same code as the car

No mock-up. The firmware’s own HTML, CSS and JavaScript run here unmodified; only the controller underneath is simulated.

  • NEXT

    On a real car

Fitted to a car, this same interface shows live CAN data from your vehicle and Haldex unit, and every change is saved to the controller.
